good idea. Only opinions that you should listen to are complaints...not opinions on looks. If you like the look, and havent heard complaints..go for it...i did and am happy. I also have a lian-li v2100b for my server system. Which is better? No contest but for the $$ the sidewinder suits me just fine.

Well let me just in on this. I've got the mge quantum case and it is of excellent build quality with lots of room inside albeit on the heavy side. My desk has a case shelf on the bottom so it sits right next to me and I can see the readout on the front panel however I think that it would've been better served to be on the top of the case with a pivot so the user can adjust the angle to whatever suites them best. I also like the fact that they didn't include a cheap ps and inflate the price. It was one of the reasons I chose this case because I wanted to put the ps of my choosing in this system from the beginning. It all comes down to what you as an individual want and how much you are willing to pay to get it. I think lots of cases are ugly but I don't go around bad mouthing them based solely on looks because apparently somebody likes them and is buying them.

The only qualms I would have are
-Appearance
-80mm intake/ 92mm out. I'd look for a case with 120mm fans

Listen, I spent $119 on my Antec tower case, when it came out, which was copied by Cheiftec and sold for less money much later.

they didn't copy it. both cases are made by the same company and resold under various brand names.

personally i think this case is hot but i'm sure a lot of people would disagree with me.

Well, there is reason for it being ugly, it has a mesh grill face. Not only that, functionally it's not too great. It allows for airflow, but also allows for weekly cleaning of the dust in the case. The case wasn't designed for looks and has what seems to me like an afterthought for cooling. Meanwhile, the XG chooses to go with style AND practicality. You get really good cooling and a nice looking case for the price. I'm not saying it's for everyone, but have you seen ibuypower's cases? They're almost not even cases with those kinds of "faceplates". So what I should say here is that

In my Opinion, the Dragon looks much better than the Lian Li in that it offers more for the price it comes at. To be honest, sounds to me like Lian Li is just a name you pay for. You can get very similar quality with more options for less than what the name Lian Li will cost you.

Well, I got more shipping pricing information, but no final date yet. The website isn't even updated to show any changes as to whether this case is going to be released or not. Luckily I have time to wait for tax returns.

Well, tax returns have come and the website says that it will be June that this case is released. Lets hope they finally release it. I haven't gotten any emails yet from my vendor in regards to the case. I can't wait. In the mean time I got a Sidekick II, but I'm returning it because it's not what I need. It's a great device though, just not something I can get into right now.

I personally own the Quantum, admitedly not the same exterior, but from looking at the shots of the Dragon, it looks like the same interior case, so the I think the basic Chassis is the same. I love my case. I will admit it is a heavy bastard, but it is sturdy as well. Descent airflow, however those dust filters that you are so keen on will cut the airlfow in half. I took all mine out and get much better airflow thorugh the case and haven't had to clean a dust ball out yet, in over a month.

I think most people around here don't have much use for flashey cases. And the one you're looking at is targeted at younger buyers, most of us old farts think it's a bit garish. But it's your money, buy it, enjoy it, and don't worry about what everyone else thinks.

Yeah, I agree, if I were 35+ years of age and barely have enough money to pay for the house, kids, wife, cars, etc, then I would look at the case as a waste of money since I could buy any pc case for less than that.

I just don't like how people don't back up their claims of the case being junk that won't work. It works just fine. If you don't like the looks, then say you don't like the looks. Plain and simple.

Regardless, I recevied an email yesterday saying that the case is going to be available today. So it will be ordered and on its way hopefully by the end of this business day.

Then I will report on it's "POS" -ness.
