I just got an RMA for a 9800GT that won't even allow the system to boot if you connect power to the card. Hopefully, everything goes well.

Factory refurbed 4890 that scores 8200 in Vantage on default settings (my overclocked 4850 scores the exact same).

They said no fault is found.
So now I have a worthless 4890 that's 20% slower than what I paid for.
Spread the word please. I'm never buying from XFX again. This was my first purchase from them.

So have you tried anything like GPU-z to check that it is running at the correct specifications? How about FPS performance in games? Jumping to conclusions and slandering a companies name is never the right way to handle this sort of situation.

I'm curious as to what was wrong with it. I know there were issues with XXX cards grey screening (months ago anyway).

It crashed after some very mild OC'ing and slightest voltage bump while playing a game like that for an hour or so. Everything was fine, temps weren't insane or anything. On the next boot though, the monitor would not receive the signal coming from the card at all. I have tried the routine procedure (cmos reset, stripping the components, reseating ram, etc). The card does not work in another computer, and finally the computer it was in works with another computer.
