I am thinking of purchasing one of these boards. Doe anyone else have these? If so, what memory are you using, will it fit a zalman 9700 LED?

which is better overall?

Thanks

Why not go all out and get the $469 ASUS Striker II Extreme 790I? Just kidding, but seeing as both the EVGA and XFX are both reference design boards you'll probably get identical performance from both. I was waiting for some boards from other manufactures that get away from the reference design myself.

I was always big on ASUS but I haven't had much luck with support from them. Looking to move to new board because this board doesn't overclock quads very well.

Current system
Asus P5WDH Deluxe 975x
Q6600
4 GB Kingston Hyper X 800
Thermaltake 850 Watt
8800 GTS 640 MB
Antec P190
Vista ultimate

Well I just sold off the motherboard and video cards in my sig. I ordered an x48 board and a pair of 3870's to try out crossfire. I just can't leave well enough alone. ;)

I used to run crossfire. I had two x1900xtx cards. Was fast but very loud. Then AMD bought ATI and that made me sick so I sold them.

I've got a EVGA 790i waiting for me at the UPS station. Going to go pick it up after work. I love EGVA for their RMA policy and step-up program.

I've done enough research now. I'm going with a Gigabyte GA-X48T-DQ6. I found that foxconn manufactures both those boards :(
Since I'm not concerned with SLI this makes sense for me. Plus I haven't read anything bad about the Gigabyte board.

I like the fact that evga has a lifetime warranty on the mb if you register it with them right after you purchase it. I've got an evga 780i sli in my sons machine and evga graphics cards in all my machines.

You no likey Foxconn? They make pretty good products. And they manufacture quite a bit of products for a lot of companies.
