Already got my video card for the next year and change, likely not upgrading till the second generation DX10 cards come out. However, I figure most people who are interested in this card are trying to get in "while supplies last" instead of commenting. :)

Probably really crappy game though :(

Well, I don't know if it's a crappy game or not but I do know that offer for the "Free Tomb Raider" game is expired. It was valid 04/11/06 - 05/07/06.

It's the pits for us Californians that so many tech stores located here....
You'ld think they would wise up and locate to Vermont or North Dakota! If I can't get deals outside CA stores I generally don't buy...

Yeah, but you guys get Frys to work with, which opens up a new window of opportunity. In Florida, we just get the benefit of no tax for some big etailers. I want a Frys :(

308.95 for me after taxes and before rebate.

For people in CA, Monarch Computer has an eVGA 7900 GT KO for 289, $30 MIR, 4.99 ground shipping, and no tax.

Hmm....

I'd say no, but if you decide to upgrade let me know and I'll make you an offer for your old, worn out, sloooooooow, 7800GT;) (i.e., I wouldn't mind trying our SLI:))

that the card I'm looking for, but reading eVga web site forums I'm kinda scary to buy it
$250 for dwo days gaming - kinda too much.

OP's card comes with VIVO - I'm not sure what to do with VI anyway - do you?

yea that card is worth it over a 7800gt, as many reports have more or less concluded that the 7900GT = 7800GTX 256. Plus it has vivo....id buy it if i didnt already have an xfx 7800gt with custom coolers. Plus anyone else hear of reports about the 7900 series cards failing due to overclocking regardless if it was user-initiated or stock from a company like BFG, XFX, etc?
