I recently got rid of my GeForce 4 Ti 4200 Card and installed a GeForce 6600 card. I was playing World of Warcraft with the Settings Maxed out for an hour or so when the screen went black and the monitor started popping as if it was trying to adjust the display. The popping continued until I powered down the PC. I inspected the card and started back up again. I lowered the settings on WoW and did not have any problems the rest of the night. Note: I recently downloaded Battlefields 2 Demo and installed the Nvidia drivers, which came with it (which Windows said it did not support). Any idea if this is a driver issue or a card issue? I would appreciate any help or knowledge you could supply me with. Thanks.

What kind of monitor do you have? NEC/Mitsubishi CRT's have a nasty problem with new NV drivers. The drivers actually overwrite the firmware of the monitor! I know, I didn't believe it either but a friend of mine sent his monitor back twice before they (NEC/M) figured out the issue and have now been fixing them and new shipping ones are updated already.
