OK i bought it on a hot deal back in april, wish i waited ofcourse because its not so hot now! Anyways, it has had this high pitch squeel somethings during games. But lately it does it more often.
Anyways I ordered the card on amazon and check my order status to see if i could return. Nope not online, so I called and voila they are sending a new one monday (weird) so what do i do when the next one does the same thing? http://www.amazon.com/review/p...bmissionDateDescending
It seems alot of people are having the same issue, "I had been staying away from XFX cards for the last 2 years because my last XFX card gave a high pitched squeal that caused me to go out and buy an after market cooling solution. I tried my luck this time because the price was right and the minute I hit the power button and the fan spun to what was obviously 100% and stayed there, I knew I had the same problem."
Many others mention the same thing. The CSR asked me when i first called if i wanted to exchange for something else, but I was reluctant to say yes because i knew i was past return date. Maybe next one I will try for exchange lol...
Does anyone have this problem or have a solution?
EDIT: So I opened up the case and it seems to be coming from the power supply, I feel like an idiot now! Its a fairly new PSU X-connect Ultra brand, modular power supply. I know that ultra is a crappy brand but this series was supposed to be quality.
