It looks like a different card than this one I just got on BF weekend. Fairly hot deal nonetheless. Mine was $10 cheaper plus COD2 game. Good potential o/c as well (to a alreadied o/c'ed). Make sure get a NV5 Silencer to quiet this baby down both in temps and noise.

i got this card...its a GREAT card i think....i cant beleive how much smoother and crisper and nicer everything looks (upgraded from an ATI 9600)
Heat is an issue with this card though and it does make a LOT of noise. i havent tried a silencer yet but its looking like a possible option...

at prices like these its soo tempting to go for the SLI setup...but ill wait till prices drop a little more when new cards come out

Taking off the existing stock cooler is a very simple process with the help of screw driver make sure clean off any leftover thermal paste residue.
Installing the NV5 is a bit tricky but not that difficult. Make sure follow the NV5 manual instructions very closely. Then use coolbits or rivatuner to monitor the temps. Temps should drop at least from 5c to 10c from stock cooler. Be sure to memorize or write down before & after temps so you'll know your new NV5 is hard at work. Another bless: NV5 is very quiet!

The PCB seems to be a non-reference design. Maybe a revision on the PCB for not bundling the PCI-e 6-pin power convertor to save cost.

It's too bad the cool looking HSF is on the bottom the card (i.e., can't really see it even in a cased window PC). Same way with all the cards. It still looks cool the 1st time you take it out of the box and hold it in your hand

What games and software did it come with? I'm still deciding between this and the eVGA card for about the same price.

I bought one of these earlier today. I am upgrading from a 6600gt, so hopefully I will be amazed by the difference

Edit: From the pic on newegg it looks like it comes with farcry and moto gp(?). I don't know how accurate that is, but it shows that on one of the pictures.

I'm debating if the upgrade would be worth it. I have a 6600 GT right now and a 2005fpw, so I do need something more powerful to get that 1680 x 1050 running smooth.....Sigh do I wait or jump now?

Ahh man aww man. I was building my new dual-core system for a purely utilitarian reason: I couldn't learn or experiment with video encoding when every single operation would make my PC unuseable for hours on end. Using a second drive for most operations didn't alleviate everything: I NEEDED dual core. I found a good deal on a mobo + CPU combo and it just happened to be an Abit AN8-SLI (With passively cooled chipset!). I did NOT intend to make a monster gaming system out of it but I could not find any "awesome deals" on a PCI-Express 6600GT or better until I found this. It would be a shame not to get two and do SLI and, even though I tried to reason against it, my brother went ahead and placed both orders (One rebate will go to his place, one will go to mine).

Thanks for getting me back into PC gaming ATHD+OP+Newegg. I was perfectly happy with my 6600GT + Half-Life 2 in a Media Center PC that I never had the chance to play or use! Now I'm going to be hard-pressed to get my money's worth out of this before it's obsolete.
