XFX 630i Memory Compatbility

I am building a system to upgrade my aging Athlon XP 2600+ and the specs are (planned) to be as follows:

XFX 630i 7159 motherboard ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16813141008 )

Intel Core 2 Duo e8400 CPU

2GBx1 DDR-800 PC-6400 memory ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16820208344 )

I have two questions about this setup:

1. Will the Intel Core 2 Duo e8400 work with the XFX 630i motherboard? I can't seem to find anyone who has done a similar build since the E8400 hasn't been out for too long so far.

2. Will the memory that I am planning on getting work with the motherboard? Is there anyway to find out before hand if the memory would work it it (to avoid paying a restocking fee if it does not)?

I must suggest that you look at a more reputable company for the ram, haven't read too many promising things about their memory, in any case might I ask what the system is for? The board is going to be a severe bottleneck for such a strong cpu.

The system is probably mostly just going to be for 720p x264 playback and maybe some gaming in the future @ 1366x768 resolution. What about the motherboard would hold back the CPU, the lack of dual-channel support?

For those purposes I would settle for the E2160 from Newegg for like $73, in any case for just playback of media such a strong cpu isn't really needed, handy to have though if you upgrade to a new system that has a socket 775 mobo, anyways the lack of dual channel is another downer on the micro atx board. mATX was made for more portable machines from what I remember, and in any case the lack of good ram support, possible non-support of a 45nm chip without a bios flash, and the integrated graphics are all bottlenecks to the CPU.

Would the memory that I chose ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16820208344 ) be compatible with the motherboard? I couldn't find anything on the website for the manufacturer on the timings or anything like that so I am a little bit hesitant. Is there any way to know if it will work?

No way aside from just trying, in any case I think you could get better ram, probably not for too much more.

Out of those four modules (Patriot, PQI, Transcend, and WINTEC) which would likely be the most likely to work with the motherboard? The NVIDIA 630i chipset memory testing website only lists 512mb and 1gb modules that have been tested but leaves out any 2gb modules. (http://www.nvidia.com/object/mcp_intel_memory.html)
