Xfire is by far the most useful tool I have ever used in gaming. And some big heads in the industry say the same thing. Every person I have shown this too has used it. I have over 350 people in my network of friends alone.

I could write a very, very long post on the features. But if you look at the website, you'll see what it can do. You'll see the praise it has gotten. It's worth checking out for any gamer.

My experience was brief, and I didn't like it.
It had a good idea, I think.
It has a bad habbit of not giving you the same message box. [If you pull it up while playing again, type something, minimize it, minimize the game and pull it up, 99.9% of the time my conversation would only have bits and peices, or nothing]
The shortcut would often break for me and not actual pull up the message box.

Once they do some work on it, I'll give it another shot

When was this? I've never even seen people complain about the issues you are describing.

My team and friends use this tool. It's basically AOL for Gamers. Features we use this tool the most for is knowing where and what everyone is playing, instantly (no search or ping needed), instant chat (in game works on and off), Server Favorites and Game Stats.

Great Product. We've been using it since beta v7x.

Within the past month, playing WoW.

I know 10+ people in my guild who have the disapearing text problem when minimizing/maximizing the game

I downloaded it and used it for a little, didn't really like it at all - I experienced a similar problem with it being VERY slow to react and taking resources. The server browser sucks, and the interface is kind of confusing.
