Xeon roadmap?

So I'm probably about to drop a couple grand on a new MacPro to replace my aging PowerMac G4 and possibly replace my PC (btw, does anybody want the computer in my sig? ). But, as I'm looking at Penryn details, all I can find is desktop details. What about the Penryn-era Xeon? Will it be Socket-771? Will it be compatible with the 5000x series chipsets? Will it be 1333FSB or higher? What are my upgrade possibilities?

mmm... im currently on a xeon 3220. its the Q6600 version of the xeon.

2 words:

VERY HOT.

and not i dont mean in apearance. i mean in actuality. They RUN friggin hot.

As for penryn.. i have no clue, besides its goign to be 775 and 1333fsb. I think you'd be more interested in nelph.

Pen. 2s xeons will have a new chipset (mainly better mem. perf), and 1600 FSB.
