XClio Psu

I was thinking about getting a XClio PSU
(link here: http://www.xclio.com/product_04-b.htm )
and i was just wondering if this a reliable brand/product.
XClio is the company that makes the PSUs for Antec, so i thought it should be fine. Just want a second opinion, though.

Many people say they make good psu's... I just wouldn't recommend them if you were putting like a 7800gt w/ an opteron 165 and hoping to overclock with them.

i am planning on putting a 7800GT in there..
but i don't know what an opteron is...(im a noob =p)
and i don't plan on OCing

opteron's were intended for server uses but they made 939 models that can also be used for the desktop and came out with an overclocking bang. the fortron 450w has more 12v power than the xclio and should be around only $3 more than the xclio at newegg.

Care to explain why? Have you ever used one?

I love mine, it can easily oc the 7800GT, sig. All the parts are made by the same company as pc power and cooling, just at a lower price.

I have. I completely devoured it. Cannibalization from hell. Hence, people know its a Channel Well Tech PSU

XClio 450BL (the only model at a level where they have a 'killer buy') is $53. My testing showed it can 'only' handle 28A of 12v combined draw in 30 degree enviroment, but if you have the kind of computer that draws 336w of 12v power you'd certainly be spending more than $53 on a PSU. So go for it.

Dead wrong my friend. Channel Well only makes certain parts for certain PSUs for PC P&C. But of course they buy parts from Seasonic and Fortron too. Even then, the models that share most of the same parts (Silencer line == Seasonic base) are still heavily modified. PC P&C does NOT sell any PSUs that it doesn't modify and test thoroughly or even outright design from the ground up (Turbo-Cool 510).
