If that does exist, anyone can PM me on how to do that????

Thanks.

iD lvoe to play all my old xbox games on my xbox360.

By default, its not 100% backward compatible, but i heard that there is a mod on the internet that let you play all your old xbox games.

You must be referring to the TS-H943 DVD firmware hack-- I too heard it lets you boot *all* original xbox games, but I can't personally confirm that.

if this is true, why would microsoft not release it?

simple logic says NO

if it was 100% compatible MS would be saying so..I see no reason to not allow you to play them all

MS doesnt want you using old games that you can buy new. Case in point, Madden. Madden 06 from the original xbox doesnt work on the 360.

Seeing that it's completely different hardware (non-intel cpu, different vendor graphics) it wasn't ever designed to be 100% backwards compatible, there's not going to be any guarantees. Perhaps someone released a mod that fixes some games that MS hasn't finished testing.

What's wrong?? Their backwards compatibility list has 200+ games on it. Of course they're gonna want you to buy 360 versions of games whenever possible, that makes more business sense if they can sell the $$$ 360 games (screwing the customer sorta, yes). But theres plenty of top Xbox games that are backwards compatible and they are upscaled to 720p/1080i WITH anti-aliasing on most.

So not a bad deal I'd say. All you need is a small patch that you get off Live. Could you imagine Ninja Gaiden in 720p with AA? DAAAYYEM!

Of course I don't own a 360, and maybe that whole page is BS, but I don't see why they would flat-out lie.

Um, that's up to EA to build backwards compatibility support into the game.

CHfan4ever it just allows you to play copies of the ones that MS has made backwards compatible, not any xbox1 game.

most likely what is going on is this:

if this hack does exist, i'm sure it might let you boot and play all the games, however, because the 360 emulates the xbox architecture it may not have all the function calls necessary. you could end up playing a game for 3 hours and haveing it crash because it starts to call on a function that the 360 doesn't support yet.

that is why you are only allowed to play some games and not all until they are confirmed.

doesn't MS have to code a type of emulation for each XBOX game. I'm sure some games may be more difficult to support because the emualtion would be more taxing on the 360 and may cause slow downs and such. Although I'm sure a lot has to do with them wanted to make more money on you buying new games.

The firmware hack simply allows you to boot games burnt to DL DVDR+ discs because it fakes the authencity of the discs when the 360 asks for it. I can't see how a firmware hack would be able to create the emulation needed for all the XBOX 1 games.

edit: lol should have read the thread cattlegod just basically said the same stuff
