my playstation 2 froze during the ending credits of a game. happens all the time. better get the warranty papers out just in case though.. might be a sign of bad things to come..

i've never encounted that problem. the simple explanation would be that i've never played an xbox.

Could be a bad unit or it could be like AU Tiger says and the unit could have been poorly ventilated. I've run the X-Box really hot on purpose to test if it would freeze and I've never gotten it to freeze on me. If it starts to freeze on you constantly, you might want to see if you can get it exchanged for a new one.
