Dont know if some one already post this but, the Xbox will be released on November 8,2001 for $299 US. Quantities
600,000 - 800,000 units will be available on day one.

Did 500,000 units go on sale the first day? I think it was down from the the 1 million they were hoping to put out.
 
yeah, 500k, down from the 1mil they said origonally. nintendo said somewhere they will have something like 1.3mil GC's availible the first two weeks.
