XBOX with Win2K

Ehh... What are they smoking? NV 15 is the Geforce 2 chip. NV 25 is the name, not 15.

And it's not the full-blown win2k OS. It?s a cleaned out version (using the Win 2K Kernel).

The operating system is about 400kb i believe. It is based on the Win2k kernel, it is NOT win2k.

And the chip is the NV2a, the Xbox version of the NV25.

Do you realize how old that article is? 03/10/00!!!

So yeah, SSP is right, they're going to be using the NV25, not NV15.

Oh pooey. 😉

Anyway, try xbox.ign.com for all xbox related info, like new games in the works for the X-box. 🙂

themadmonk, W2K is superior for gaming and everything else. There is no reason not to use it if the increased cost of the OS and a bit more memory is not a consideration. The gaming issue is that people are still learning to write video drivers for it as it is different than the old windows stuff. Another minor issue is that the game makers are still learning too but most run just the same except being limited in speed by the video drivers.
