I dont want to start a flame war... i just need some good info for an essay!!!!

Which one do yu think is better? Why? What "sucks" about the others?

Exactly, except for the 5 minutes I spent in GameStop yesterday looking at Steel Battalion. I had to leave the store before I threw down 400 bucks on an x-box and that damn game. That box was sooo sweet!

They all have their strengths AND weaknesses.

What matters is the games you play on them, and how much fun and enjoyment those games give you...

I know that you are probably all going to yell at me and say "use the search" but i need some in my own thread.... always feels better to have your own thread.... mabye im just weird...

Personally i say XBOX ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! especcially the Moded ones on the market nowadays. Im am personally more of a PC guy, wich is why i like the xbox so much.... its a PC with a conroller. Not to mention it has a better graphics card than in my computer:eek:

Why dont you use the advanced search feature?

If you are that interested in the info it will give you a better sampling than who is currently on
now and their opinions.

Do a search for "X-Box, "Gamecube" and "PS2" and you'll find all the opinions you could ever want.

Now let this thread die before the idiotic posts (a few have already come up) and a flamewar begins.

I love my XBox the most. The game library is starting to increase, and so is the quality. A whole slew of good games are being released now. 2nd gen xbox games are getting great. Xbox is also obviously the most powerful.

I really like the PS2 (mostly for its game library, not for it's technical specs and capabilities), but don't have the money to afford 2 consoles. I have friends with PS2's anyway...

Gamecube and its games doesn't appeal to me at all. Sure it's got Metroid Prime but that's not enough for me to drop $300 CDN on it.

And I'll keep my PC for games like Warcraft 3. :)

XBOX rules!!

Graphics alone is justification and it has a RJ45 jack for future play. I don't see that in any other unit.

i dont have xbox live yet but.....even without it Xbox is the stuff next to Ps2...xbox live makes xbox better than PS2 :)

Honestly, I think the XBOX is starting to distance from the competition. Live! online play can't be beat, the hardware is in a class by itself, and a nice set of games came out just in time for Christmas (MechAssault, Medal of Honor, and Splinter Cell). XBOX is THE console to own if you like sports game, also. Gamecube has more family games and will get market share just because of that, as it should. But the PS2 is going to start getting owned as XBOX comes out with more and more games to match Sony's library.

Do you think this is a good deal?:

A friend on mine bought an X-box and has no time to play it (I think it has only been used like 5 times since he got it in Sept). With it, I would get the DVD remote, HDTV AV pack and Halo. He wants $175 for all of it.

Hmm... I live in a college town, all the little kids have already been beating up for their lunch money, and I would also be flat broke if I did that other thing.

Now, my little sisters... If only I didn't move away for college and was hundreds of miles away...

Xbox is the best for dolby digital sound, fast loading times, best graphics, HDTV support and online playability however games to an extent are its downside. If you like Japanese RPGs, PS2's got them. I couldn't care less about any RPGs so I have an Xbox. Great multiplayer and sport games are probably its strongest points.

PS2 is the oldest and has dated capibilities but it has the most games and a lot of people justify this as its buying point (that is people other than fanboys).

GC has HDTV support as well and pretty good graphic capibilities. Good games are quality over quantity for this system.
