XBOX ---> VGA monitor input

I have the Neoya X2vga and it's all set up. However, to get it working like I wanted it to, I have a switching device that switches my monitor from my Xbox to my computer without going through the hassle of switching the cables.

The display when switched from Xbox looks fine. When switched from my computer it is really ugly (lots of ghosting, lost of details). I have a 21" monitor. I was wondering if the cables to the switches (6ft shielded+ferrite bead SVGA cables) are to blame or the switch itself (switch looks very cheap and came free with the X2vga)?
I don't think it's the cable but I'm not sure so if some cable experts would like to help. =)

Also, if it's the switch, then anyone know where I can find a VGA video switcher?

Well it's not the cable seeing how I did a Comp --->cable ----> monitor connection and it looks perfectly normal. Guess it is the switch box.
I think I have some KVMs (I think some doesn't switch monitor, as in you will need 2 monitors, one for each comp, right?) lying around my house somewhere. I'll see if I can dig them up and if they work better.

I'm not sure if I have the monitor switching ones or not. Well I have to wait a couple of days and see.

Anyone knows of a good monitor switching KVM that's sell at a decent price?

belkin makes a good one for about 100$. cheap KVMs arnt worth it because you get ghosting and such. what a KVM does is connect 2 comps to 1 monitor. or 1 comp and 1 xbox

I'm not sure what's wrong, but the VGA video switchers are called KVM switches.

Not all video switchers are KVM (Keyboard, Video, Mouse) Boxes.

Did you try switching ports on the switch box itself to see if the results were reversed?
Or are we assuming a bad switch box at this point?

I stand corrected. 😎
