AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!! :|:|:|:|:|:|:|:|

This is UNREAL! Compare the Xbox controller with the GameCube controller!!!
Xbox
GameCube

Gee, that layout is STRIKING!

does it really matter about how close in design it is to something else?? as long as it fits and controls right...who gives a rats @ss

It just kinda rubs me the wrong way that Nintendo's controller innovations are constantly being ripped.

Thats almost the same way everone has copied the N64 having 4 controller ports. Why hasn't anyone tried having more than 4? It pisses me off too

Bah! the only gamming console i have (besides my computer) is an 8 bit nintendo! That i'm proud to say i still play!

agreed KillBat but it just means that those innovations carry on and lead forth to furter innovation......nintendo first inroduced an analog stick which then got copied by sega blatantly with their Nights Controller......sony did it too but instead of 1 they added 2.....i dont see this as a bad thing.

Did you know that Nintendo invented the D-pad all those years ago? 🙂

Bah, I'll wait for my GameCube, thank you.

Killbat, does the Cube controller have build in force feed back feature (call it rumble pack if you must)? Thats why this this is FATTER then the rest of the controls. 🙂

BTW - You can hook these things together for a Lan party. I started a thread in GH forum, and Tripleshot who went to CES said that. Cool eh?

Not saying I don't trust you, but do you have a link? I'm going to check out ign and see if they mention anything about this.

EDIT - Didn't find anything in IGN. Oh well...

RagingBITCH, with every additional controller/player the splitscreen sections get smaller and smaller. Imagine playing on a 32" TV with 8 people.🙂

This is Microsoft's oldest trick in the book
  1. 1) Show up late to the game.
  1. 2) Integrate/Thieve all that is good.
  1. 3) Fix all that is bad.
  1. 4) Dominate market share and make Bill Gates more jack.

Seems to work everytime and this should be no different.
