From looking at all the titles coming out for the XBox, I would say that it does not really matter if you have it. I say this not to say the titles are bad. Quite the contrary actually. Most of the sweet games coming out for the XBox are made for the PS2 as well.
Look at it like this. If you sell the XBox, you cannot play what games? Perhaps Halo? Perhaps another title that is sweet that is not on the PS2? Are those few games worth $300? Maybe it is...and maybe it is not. I guess that really depends on how much scrape you have really.
From what I have heard, Halo is a very sweet game. Think of how many hours you will put in it. If it equals hundreds of hours of fun game play, I would keep that box. Had I knows how many hours I would have received from Half Life and all its mods back in 98', I would have payed $400...no kidding. I have put literally thousands of hours playing Half Life, Team Fortress, CS, and all the other mods and game addons.
Halo might just be that game. Then again, you might just complete the game in 20 hours(which will be great fun no doubt) and then never really play too much again.
