Hi guys,
This might seem a little stale to most of you, but I just bought an XBox(yes, the original one, not the X360). I actually live in India and I imported it down. In India, we get our supply voltage at 220V. However, in the US, the supply voltage is 110V. So I decided to buy a 220/110 converter. The first time I bought a converter with a 50 Watt rating. The problem with that was the XBox needs about 100 Watts of power. So the next time I bought a converter that can take upto 1600 Watts of power. I plugged it in, and I just turned the switch on(I didnt turn on the XBox however) and there was a 'small' pop and the lights went off (surprise surprise!). So I unplugged the system. So can any of you 'gurus' out there help me? We really dont have an authorised tech support centre out here in India. So if you any of you can tell me as to what might have burnt and what I need to do, I might be able to get it fixed at a computer service centre.
