XBox Price Drop Down to $150 in April

Rumor has it that the XBox will be available for $150 at Walmart in April. Discussions. Just recently an image of the ad has surfaced (taken from a camera phone) giving it a little bit more credibility, although this has not been 100% confirmed yet. Could this be a universal XBox price drop, or a special that Walmart is running? Just like the image scan leaked out of Gamecube drop to $99 last year, it could be the case that Walmart gets their info and prints up their flyers quicker than everyone else.

who cares if ps2 drops at this point. Its like people buying a toyota when the lexus is the same price. doesnt really make too much sense at this point. it's GT4 vs. Halo 2, Half-Life 2, Doom 3, Fable. Makes the whole thing a no-brainer

The new boxes don't have a game bundle. Probably not many will miss Tetris Worlds/Clone Wars anyways.
 
and with games like BOnd, Ninja gaiden, mvp baseball, etc and games like Doom 3, splinter cell 2 and halo 2 on the horizon, why not grab yourself one of these
 
I don't have any gaming console but if I were to buy one, I'd pick a PS2. Its because of the games on it, not because of the capabilities of the system. My computer can play games at 1600x1200 so "the best" graphics isn't even a consideration in my choice. Its all about the games.

Get your bundles now and price match in April. I got my self the XBox/NinjaGaiden/Tetris/SW bundle last weekend. As soon as the price drop, I am gonna PM. 🙂

The $150 price point is probably right. Seems Amazon is up to their usual trick today, "buy console w/ 2 (worthless) games today, and we will drop $30 (we make >$50 in process)!". Lame-o.
 
I only brought up ps2 price cuz I already own an XBox. And the only reason I want ps2 is because of Winning Eleven.
I've heard it's the best soccer game.

Someone said that the price of PS2 might go down to $130 in april? (Mngr from blockbuster I've heard)

When is PS3, Xbox 2 or YBox coming out?
 
It will be $99 at the end of the summer, so if you still don't have one, you might as well wait. This info was released a long time ago. It was mapped to drop price on Memorial day and Labor Day. Looks like they are just pushing up the price drop for Memorial Day a month early (probably because they are still bleeding money on the XBOX and need to do something to get more market share so people can buy games from them to make their money back).

That was a rumor. No one ever produced proof of the $99 price. There was a large thread in OT about it
 
According to one of the guys on TechTV, the next gen of Xboxes will not have hard drives; they'll be moving to solid state memory to keep people from copying games entirely to the drive.

This price drop just a coincidence?

They're not having the hard drive because it is such a liability. Too many moving parts inside of an object that is going to be moved a lot and banged around by little kids.

Winning Eleven is coming out for the PC under the title 'World Soccer, Winning Eleven 7 International'. I preordered mine and amazon says it's due out tomorrow. I hope it lives up to the hype; Fifa 2004 sucks!
