GameCube, I don't know whether to get a Xbox or a PS2 next though. I'm currently debating between them.

My gaming evolution has been: One top of the line PC about every three years, Atari, Sega Genesis, Game Boy, N64, Xbox, Dreamcast. Yes, I just bought a dreamcast, after the Xbox.

Personally, I like Live, and once it's in full swing (more games, downloadable content) it'll be even better. All games that come out on all three systems (Xbox, PS2, Gamecube) will loko better on Xbox. And if there's a game that's PS2 or Gamecube exclusive, usually they'll come out on PC. Best bet is to really check the systems, see the game's offered, and see what interests you. If Gamecube has more games you like to play, but that. In my case, was Xbox. I'll probably buy a game or two for the other systems, to play when I'm at friends houses, but that's about it.

i got the xbox and Q, and am looking to get into the PS2, when it drops to like $100.

but for the consoles, you really have to go where the games are. i got the xbox cuz of halo JSRF and DOA. now i added DOAXBV and Panzer Dragoon. oh yea, MW and Live also..

picked up the Q cuz i'm a sucker for cool looking things and just had to get the new metroid ^^, RE 1 and Eternal Darkness, and Celda helped in that decision.

now i'm looking to get some cool PS2 rpgs, but i can't justify spending $200 for a 2, 3 year old console. maybe i'll pick up a PS Two, when they made the miniture ver like the PS One, and costs $99 ^^

so pick up a console based on what games you like that are out right now, and if you like their coming soon games, jump on it. hopefully you aren't like me and end up just collecting the games w no time to play em.. :(

I have a Playstation 2. I bought it because it offered more of the types of games that I like on consoles. I'm really bad at adventure games, which seem to exist largely on the Gamecube (Star Fox, Zelda, Mario, Metroid). I like games that you can just sit down and play, without having to look for a switch behind something stupid, or having to push all 9 buttons in :30.

I had an Xbox, but it broke the second day that I had it, so I returned it.
