Ps2....everyone keeps saying to get the Xbox due to better hardware...no offense though but using that idea then we wouldn't even touch the nintendo/snes/psx because they are too butt ugly by today's standards

True though being on a hardware fom you are gong to get this...

But to me its about games...

If you want ANY decent RPG the Xbox is NOT your console of choice (though KOTOR recently changed that so now it have one....). As for sports my brother is a nut on all sports (idiot goes and buys football and college versions year after year) and regardless of your feelings toward EA they make the best football games (and i'm a sega nut so that is hard 4 me to admit) and sports games (save for Winning Eleven ^_^ ) out there and the only way to go online is the PS2 with EA.

I think its ridicuolous how much people are bashing the PS2....and a lot of the arguments against it are focused on hardware soley - no offense but there is a reason I have a PC and unless you DO have a HDTV WITH A receiver (if that is the case i'll shutup 😀 ) it isn't going to make the world's largest difference...yes the xbox is "better" but better isn't like a leap of a gneration....the PS2 is slightly older hardware therefore no DUH the xbox will have better looking games (again the term is relative) and if it didn't I would very dissapointed considering it came out over a year later.

Gotta disagree with you about EA Sports... I'm not going to argue the NFL or NBA games, as that all boils down to personal preference. But Sega rules the NHL and MLB offerings. There's no question about that.

Also, MS's online system (Xbox Live) is significantly better than EA's. The cost is the only downside to Live.
