thanks .. i figured that much

looks like the PS2 is gonna sit the shelf on this one. minus the GTA serious, i don't see what the hype and "AWESOME GAMES" for PS2 comes from. IMO, past threads where fanboys hype more game developement for PS2 is crap to me, cause more games doesn't mean more quality.

Based on the above list, GameCube has more games that aren't redundant in game play and more playing hours.

Thanks.

Sports games? Xbox easily wins out. Best thing about Football games is real human competition, unless you plan on inviting a friend over everyday, Online is the way to go. Xbox's online is MUCH superior compared to PS2s.

NFL Fever (Online Play)
Madden (EA doesn't support Live for there greedy reasons)
NFL2k3 (Online Play)

xbox is better for sports because it has a hard drive which can save your games better.

unless you are like me and you want to play online and you like ea sports games. ea sports doesn't support xbox live. i have a ps2

I will say they are equal (offline) for every type of game except RPGs. If you like those games I find so boring and pointless, get a PS2.

Asside from that, Xbox has better graphics, progressive scan support and dolby digital in every game plus the option of Xbox Live which I hear is a lot better than what Sony has.

On a side note, I use my Xbox S controller for PC games and it is a lot better than any PC game pad they sell.

how did u connect your xbox s ctrl to your pc? what connector do i need to buy and where can i buy them at? thanks.

Playstation 2...free online play! Also, you gotta admit that the PS2 Controller > XBox controller AND PS2 Games > XBox Games...especially if you are a fan of RPGs

free online play is always good - PS2 games > XBOX games? don't think so. Especially with Rare on the horizon with Perfect Dark Zero and Conker's Other Bad Fur Day for XBox, and all those other good xbox games coming out - Ninja Gaiden, Dead or Alive: Code Chronus, there's a lot more to look for on XBox.

Also, the PS2 controller > XBox controller? ROFLMFAO! XBox controller is much better than any other controller out there, and even the gamecube controller is better than the outdated PS2 controller. I mean, seriously, who can make ANY sense out of the PS2 controller? Buttons everywhere, joysticks that aren't used in most games.. XBox's controller makes much more sense, and plays much better (and is actually comfortable)

Depends:
If you like an ample game selection go PS2
If you like options go X-Box

X-Box is slightly better as far as overall performance, but you can do a lot of stuff with it if you connect it to a PC using the LAN connector

I bought mine from here. The number of retailers of them is surprisingly low. There are a few different versions of drivers on the net. I didn't use the ones they recommended since I saw some guy on a forum recommending his (which worked perfectly) but probably any of the various drivers work fine. PM me if you want me to dif them up.

I have a PS2 and love it. Thinking about getting an XBox for DOA Volleyball 😀

Loving Auto Modellista for PS2 though

well i bit it and got the GameCube with Mario Party 4.

Employee discount on a memory card, 2 controllers, Wavebird, memory card, Def Jam Vendetta, and Street.

Two games i played a bit of at the store and need are .. Prime and Zelda .. AWESOME.

X-BOX for sports and a few others
Game Cuve for Mario Party, Prime, and Zelda .. pretty much their exclusive titles i grew up with in the 80s. Sweet!
