XBox or Gamecube?

I picked up a GC during the free Zelda with Zelda deal, and the free Metroid w/ console. And I'm digging it big time. I've also picked up Ikaruga (get it, but expect a challenge). The GBA player comes out soon which will let you play GBA games via the GC. And F-Zero will be mine. Oh yes, it will be mine.

Now, I'm not a just a Nintendo Fanboy. Nintendo really lost an edge with the N64. But in the mean time I picked up a PSX, DC, and PS2. I game on whatever, and lately it's been alot of the Gamecube. (even more than the PS2)

Yeah, Zelda does have a lot of appeal to me...although I admit I never did play the original :frown:

I was the Sega kid 🙂
Come to think of it though, my friend (the Nintendo kid) didn't have it either. Hmm. I'm missing out huh? It better than Final Fantasy VII?

They're very, very different games. But yes, I like the gameplay of Zelda: TWW more than FF7. Although FF7 was pretty damn impressive when it first came out.

I got Zelda in the post today. A whole day before the UK release date. On my day off, and with the bonus disk. Life is good.
Seriously though, Zelda rules. There is no better game out at the moment, on any platform. Its enough reason to buy a GameCube alone.

Right now i'm pretty much set on a gc after E3. Hoping nintendo will announce some internet play stufff or something at E3....

Oh, Demon-Xanth, you given up on Anthony's series yet? 😛

It's been many years since I've read any novels. Read a little manga, some short stories, and loads of technical stuff. But I still am entertained by the idea of the world that is set about in the Xanth series. Though my favorite series by Anthony is the Incarnations of Immortality. The way he took ideas from multiple sources and combined them in a way that showed many as neither correct nor incorrect was intriguing.

But back on topic, I forgot to mention Super Smash Brothers Melee.
That game is just silly fun 🙂

Sounds to me like you enjoy immature kiddie games intended for younger audiences, so Gaymecube is perfect for you.

You act as if this decision is a decision you can never take back. Get one console, if it sucks and you don't like it, then sell it, and then get a gamecube! 😉

You mean like Resident Evil and Eternal Darkness? I think my little cousins and nephew would love those. 🙂

Why is it so common that people who label the GameCube platform as immature are the ones who feel it's necessary to address it by names like "GaymeCube" or "LameCube"?

My guess would be that they think it's funny. Personally it's a joke I have yet to tire of. Why is it so common that lamecubers get so defensive when I call their console a kiddie console?

Fair enough. Troll on.

I'm still suprized that the PS2 gets out of people simply insulting it by adding a "/" (PS/2). But the GC is a kiddee console, and the xBox is used in third world countries as affordable housing. With a little bit of thought anything can be insulted.

Except cheesecake.
