not really interested in online play since it costs extra $

i love my ps2 but the gamecube @ $99 with two controllers is tempting and the xbox bundles that are out there

i know there's xbox modding but that sounds troublesome (i'm lazy) :p

a lot of xbox's good games are on ps2, a lot of gc's games are not on ps2 or xbox. i'd go with gc just for that.

xbox and ps2 libraries are too similar.
the gamecube is a better choice if you already own one of the two "big" systems.

Metroid Prime. That game right there is the killer app for Gamecube. If you buy one for no other reason than to experience that game, you've spent your money well.

depends if there are any games that you'd want to play on xbox/gamecube. personally i'd just save the money and buy myself the new MGS and GTA for PS2 =)

but if im getting one for free? i'd get an xbox, then sell it for the gamecube... i love mario cart!

ah poll changed =)

Mario Kart Double Dash sucks but other than that, every other game is a keeper and I suggest you get the gamecube

I own an Xbox, PS2 and Gamecube. Xbox gets the most play, gamecube is rarely played. PS2 isn't even hooked up.

I would suggest an Xbox.

One thing about the Gamecube is that a lot of the excellent games are only $20 now. Couple that with the low price for the bundled system and you have a very nice deal.

xbox is also a good deal, but part of the advantage of an xbox is the online play, not something that interests me all that much, particularly since it is a subscription service.
