Xbox or gamecube? New verdict: Stick with ps2

I've got both the cube and the Xbox and while I like them both, I'd have to tip my hat to the gamecube. With the ultra exclusive titles that the gamecube has, plus the lower price (and it's miniscule size) that would be the console I'd pick. It really depends on what kind of games you like, and if you're really looking forward to online play (which I don't really care about).

Having said that I'm dying to get Ninja Gaiden on the Xbox (I'm waiting till it's ultra cheap) so it's not like the Xbox doesn't have good titles...it just doesn't have the titles that I'm really looking forward to.

Oh, and if you're any sort of Resident Evil junkie then you HAVE to buy the cube. Resident Evil 4 is coming out in January and it's looking amazing....I so can't wait for this game.
 
Since I've never owned a console and don't intend to, I'd just say save it for a bigger better vidcard or such. Anyway, though, I'd favor the Xbox simply because it has more hardware power.

i know people who have gamecubes and theyre 25 years old!

though, they also have xbox or ps2 (or both)

they only play gcn to relive their childhood 😛
 
xbox if you are willing to mod it and play all kinds of stuff on it

if not the gamecube is a steal right now for 99 bucks and some of the first party games on that system kickbutt

I'm 28 and I have the cube. To really re-live my childhood I'll just buy the old ports for my gameboy (like Metroid:Zero Mission, Zelda 2, etc...). The cube has great exclusive titles, doesn't take up much space, and I've gotten used to the controller.

I was going to buy a PS2 to complete the set but I realized that I just don't play the games that I used to so I stick with the cube and the Xbox....between the 2 I can play pretty much any game. I think the only thing I miss out on are the RPG's that the PS2 gets but I don't have the patience to play those anymore so it's not a huge loss.

Donkey Konga, Paper Mario 2, Mario Tennis... all KICKass multi group games (the chicks love donkey konga) PM2 is amazing as well.
 
i've decided to get a gamecube... xbox's 1st party games don't impress me much... only games im interested in are ninja gaiden and maybe halo 2(although im not a big fan of fps for consoles). my ps2 is good enough for the 3rd party games 🙂
 
i bought a gamecube mario bundle set with free memory card and two controllers... now i must wait for really good gc video game deals.

i found my ps2 to have too many games in common with the xbox, so I went with the more unique gamecube. i'm not very interested in a console fps. didn't like halo 1 so i dont think i'd like halo 2. only games i was really interested in for the xbox was kotor 1/2 and ninja gaiden. my friend will loan me his xbox for those 🙂.
