I can't even find the file to try this...

It's in a hidden directory and the file will be created when you stream from the app if you haven't already. If it isn't there try keeping the directory window open and start streaming then back out and check that window and you should see the file.

this, like the feature to stream from ps4 to vita, is just one of those features i simply do not understand the real world usage for. just seems like one of those things to try out and see if it works, play a lag filled game, and be like 'okay neat'.

I can see it working if you come home and want to play a bit of Forza or whatever other single player game and someone is watching TV. Rather than kick them off or move the Xbox you just go on the computer and get a bit of game time in.

I don't think anyone is going to hook the Xbox up somewhere and do everything via streaming.

Your mentioning of "streaming" gave me an interesting idea. Right now, most video game streamers tend to buy those $100-150 capture devices to stream their video games. You can use the built-in methods (on the Xbox One or PS4), but frankly, they're a bit too restrictive for a seasoned streamer. However, you should be able to stream from the Xbox One to your desktop, and then use standard computer streaming software to stream the game to the Interwebs!

In my case, I want to keep the XB1 on my main floor TV for streaming / multiplayer purposes, but I can still play the games on my projector through my media PC in my basement. It's actually good enough since I usually just play solo games on the projector and response time is not critical.

So, I finally got this to work and my average bandwidth on Very High is 5.9026E+ 12...

I guess my bandwidth is just better than most of you guys. >_>

Lol I noticed it depends on the game. When I was playing killer instinct it was averaging 15Mbps on my gigabit wired network. Spiked up to 20 when lots of combos and special moves were going off. Though when playing that pool game that was free for gold subscribers it was much less.

i've been spoiled by playing on lag free setups now that i can't go back to lag settups. even for solo games i can't do it. can't imaging playing a racing game on there, or trying to aim and hit someone in a game like uncharted with laggy controls.

I messed around with it yesterday. It seems overall better quality and less buggy than steam in home streaming, but there is definitely a noticeable input delay. In Mortal Kombat X local games felt almost exactly like playing online against someone with good internet. If nothing else I could use it to practice combos while simulating online lag. I feel like it's probably too much delay for twitch shooter type games though.

When the TV is occuped, you have another place to play it without moving the console. I got the Playstation TV for that very reason with my PS4, unfortunately the PS TV isn't that great (only has a 10/100 network) but it works. Same for the XB1 now.

I played FIFA 15 on XB1 through stream to my PC and recorded some gameplay with Bandicam, works great.

mkx has the worst netcode of any modern fighter, that sounds terrible lol.

With two good connections it isn't that bad. They've been making some improvements to the connection quality I think. I get lots of games with about as much lag as you see with the windows 10 streaming. Of course there are still some horrific 1/2 second lag games too, just not as many anymore.

no, it's terrible, even with good connections. but if you think it's "good" then more power to you. but it's terrible, especially compared to other games like killer instinct.

Instead of making a new thread, I figured I'd bump this.

Both my XB1 and PC are wired to the same modem/router, both are new cat5 cables capable of 1 gigabit and yet when I play Forza 6 with "very high" settings in the XB1 app, I still get pixelation (XB1 playing at 1080p and PC at 1080p as well), is there anything I can tweak or figure out? Because lots of people are saying they don't get this when playing games. Here's a picture showing what I mean

Looks like a bitrate issue...you sure everything is connecting at top speed? Or there isn't something else saturating your bandwidth?

I'll fire it up on my PC and see what's what for comparison's sake. What kind of connection speed do you have through your ISP?

Streaming doesn't rely on your ISP, just your local network.

Well, I was asking because of what kind of bandwidth his line can push through the console. I tried firing mine up, and the thing wasn't cooperating, I'm guessing something to do with being on the W10 Xbox beta OS. My line peaked at 12 Mbps idling in the game using Comcast's equipment on a 75 Mbps connection that's wired on both ends. I should probably turn of uTorrent, TeamViewer, and Unified Remote before I try it again...

Basically what I'm on (my up might be more in the 10-15 range). I can't get the streaming to work, though. I can start it, the console interface works, but when I start Forza, the menu of the game doesn't respond.

I'm thinking my router isn't fully gigabite capable even though the admin page says 1000Mbit, I have an AC750 router I'm going to try.
