Btw, your last paragraph wasn't comparing apples to apples. You can also buy "last year's great" Xbox games for ~$20. ESPECIALLY if you shop for used.
Good answer, Wingz. I guess it's really about the kind of games you want to play and where you want to play them. I'm not a big fan of racing and sports games so it doesn't sound like I'd get much out of an XBox besides Halo.
I only listed the titles that I personally are interested in. You'll have to take a look at the library (of current and future games) and decide if there's anything you personally like.

Outside of Sports and Racing games, I like (or am looking forward to): Brute Force, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Splinter Cell (Xbox plays better, imho), Timesplitters 2, MechAssault, Enter the Matrix, Soul Calibur 2 (Mmmmm!), Fable, Malice, etc...

But like I said, you have to look for yourself. You may not find any games worthy of your time and money. It's all subjective.
