Xbox mod help

I am working on a xbox ver 1.6 and I put the spiderchip in it with slayer's 2.6 with a evox 3959 on it. Before I could put any game in it burnt or non and it would work. Now only select games will work. I tried reinstalling slayers that didn't fix it. Then I used a different hard drive with a fresh install of slayer. It still will only play select games and it tends to work better with burnt games. It worked yesterday and I don't get what the problem is. If anyone knows what to do please either post it here or get on aim (xX42wentyXx). Any help is appreciated.
 
What's the problem again? Games that was burnt used to work but not anymore? Maybe your dvd drive is flaky? Why not just rip to your HD and play off of it and don't use the dvd at all?

I was going to type up a rebuttal to your statement saying how the Xbox can be used as a media center and all that, but then I looked at Xionide's sig. I see that now he has a modded Xbox he's selling all his Xbox games :Q

Games ripped on the drive would not work either. But they would rip. Its pretty random. My backup of wwe raw 2 worked along with my original enter the matrix. But the original halo 2 wouldnt work along with mortal combat deadly allience.
 
Explain your problem more. Are you using burned backups and they aren't working? Or are you copying the games to the HD, and they won't work? 1st off make sure all of the IGR options in Evox are turned off, depending on your version you may have 2 or 3 of them. Also I encountered some issues of certain games not working after being installed on the HD, ie either not loading or freezing at a certain point. Cleaning out my E:\cache folder did the trick.

edit: I saw that IGR wasn't the problem. Deleting all the files in your E:\cache folder may help. These issues arose when there was some corrupted game data in them, and would cause certain games to lock..

Divineo. And it doesnt work right now so I unno aboutb the quality.
 
I would say you have a dvd drive on the way out. I have replaced two that I have modded for friends. They are usually fairly inexpensive on ebay.
