Xbox Live Headset

I was thinking about getting a headset. I wanted to pick up the halo headset
but I am not sure that it will work alone. I looked at the live headsets and they come with the piece that plugs
into the memory slot. Anyone have this if so do I need to buy the original XBlive headset to get that part ?

As far as I know, you do have to buy the Live headset to get this part. I've not seen it sold seperately myself, although I could be wrong on this.

the halo headset doesnt come with the communicator adapter, so u need the reg xbox headset or somehow get the adapter

There are a couple headsets that come with the communicator module, like the one by Hip. However, they cost about the same as the MS version, and are inferior.

I suggest getting the original.

(And $50 for the Halo 2 headset, without communicator, is crazy.)
