MY BAD. I read the thing at Plantronics and I took it as they were making the ones for Microsoft back in 2002. I assumed the ones I listed were the ones put together between micro and plant and then Plantronics had brought out thier own as well. I did some reading on it before I bought it while I was looking for a cheap headset and then after I made this thread.

Plantronics artical from 2002 saying they made it.

Now unless I read it wrong then I am sorry but it looks to me that they were in it together in 2002 making the ones I linked above that does come with the starter kit. Even the new ones made for the 360 starter kit are a plant/micro creation.

All the Live headsets from Microsoft are made by Plantronics. But that doesn't mean they're all the same model as the Plantronics branded retail ones.

Wasnt planning on this being a disscusion on if they were made by or not made by plantronics

I never said it was the same just mentioned it was the MS/Plant ones in the title so you would know it wasnt a POS one your getting for $11.

Xbox live uses standard cell phone mic jacks anyway, so you could plug just about any cell phone headset in.
