Xbox hardware...

If the whole X-Box system is going to be around $250 with an NV25 and the NV20 for the PC is going to be $500 I think I might just get myself an X-Box. Even though I am a hard-core PC gamer. The prices on PCs are getting out of hand.
 
Stephen I agree. I play both PC and Console games and I love my Dreamcast but with that huge list of developers and games I might have to go X Box. The only thing they need is to get a serious company to make sports game. *(EA)*
 
Heck, lets just all buy Xbox's, rip out the NV25 graphics cards and stick them in our pc's 😀 Wallah! A $500 graphics card for $250...plus some extra plastic you can throw in the garbage :Q

The money in the console biz is made off of the software. It's commonplace for console makers to lose a money on every console sold, they make it back many many times over on software sales.
 
They have a hudge deal with Nvidia and obviously with the mass numbers of GPUs they will be buying from them they will get them at a low cost.

THERE IS NO AGP. THERE ARE NO PC STANDARDS. YOU DO NOT CHANGE CONSOLE PARTS. XBOX IS A CONSOLE. God i hate repeating all this. All of the parts will be on one board, just like any other console. If you can pull the chip away from the motherboard cleanly, make a PCB and configure it to work in an AGP slot for a processor that is an Xbox exclusive (not NV25 folks, its an XBOX exclusive.) be my freakin guest.
