Xbox graphics - anyone else disappointed?

...I don't think running from the X-box to the Radeon 9800's VIVO is the best idea.

I read somewhere that the X-box can be hacked to provide a direct VGA output straight through bypassing the TV RAMDAC stage. I wonder.. maybe that would look better.

Edit: Here's one that does a *proper* (no stupid conversion methods) transcoding of X-box to VGA via a 480P signal

im running my xbox on the sony Wega 42" HDTV RPLCD....one word "awesome"

What problems do you think might arise from running the xbox in through a vivo card?

it will look no better then what video you see through the vivo card.

which generally is passable, but not exactly awesome.

if you have an hdtv card, then well, my guess is it would look quite nice. only cost about 200 now

Even better, 480p, 720p, and 1080i capability (480i looks bad) with www.x2vga.com

Simple really. It's got a fast drive and a small disc. The Xbox has data written on the DVD from the outside in to combat piracy. Makes the discs (relatively) unreadable in a PC.
But personally, scrolling through page after page of text doesn't thrill me.

I tried that before I got my HDTV .. it looked really bad, even with svideo in. I think my computer is a very noisy environment and added lots of fuzz and lines.
