XBox Game Suggestions Needed

GTA3- Yes, kicks royal arse, I am seriously consedering getting a PS2 just so I can have GTA:VC. Metal Gear 2- Xbox is getting a Metal Gear game, and personally, as it looks like it is shaping up to be, Splinter Cell is going to walk all-over Metal Gear 2. Tekken 4? Lets wait till SC2 and DOA4 come out before we start saying who has better fighting games." nutdotnet

Well, simply put, comparing games between PS2 and XBox are no match. I could spew a bunch more games out on the PS2 that heavily favors PS2 over Xbox (keep in mind i don't own a PS2, just an XBox -but my roommates have 2 PS2's)

But Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy 9/X, and that new one... I forgot.. kinda looks like Driver.. was heavily publicized at E3.. tilt the favor towards PS2. And in terms of fighting games, Tekken 3 was IMHO the best... so i'm biased to Tekken 4. I'm hoping XBox and Rare and Halo 2 will change my opinion on the console game wars, but it's obvious to anybody that PS2 has better games than Xbox.

The only reason I like my XBox right now is that I use it for a DVD/CD player and it's loads better than PS2's hardware.

Yeah, the PS2 does have MANY MORE GAMES, has been out a year longer, not to mention the following it brought over with the PS1. But in upcomming games it looks like the Xbox is going have a great lineup, with the PS2 (other than GTA:VC) of course, what else does it have? Seriously, I would like to know, see if I can convince myself to pick one up.

okay.. god this is kinda sad.. an xbox owner trying to convince another xbox owner to get a PS2. but the game selection on it right now would be enough to make any console. Why buy a N64? because it has Zelda/Mario Kart/Mario/Smash Brothers/Resident Evil, etc. IMHO, the PS2 already has a game selection that has set it for the ages. First off, it can play any PS1 game (Metal Gear Solid, Tekken 3, Silent Hill, Finaly Fantasy 7/8) and it can play the legendary PS2 games now. GT3, Tekken 4, GTA, MGS2 (which hasn't come out for the xbox yet), Kingdom Hearts. Also a lotta new games: GTA:VC, Shinobi, Hitman 2 (wait that's already out).

Thing with XBox basically is that.. when it first came out it was supposedly a great console, and it had Halo, DOA3, and Project Gotham Racing. Ever since then, i've been really disappointed with its game turnout, and even though it's bought Rare and Halo 2 is coming out, I don't imagine my thoughts on X-Box would be any better. On the horizon.. DOA:XV will make my day and make me feel better about Xbox.. so will Halo 2, and *maybe* Panzer Dragoon: Orta, but that's about it.

I went to E3, and was much more impressed by the PS2 lineup than X-Boxes. Basically PS2 had a few games i was looking forward to: Shinobi, Hitman 2, FF XI, Kingdom Hearts, Tekken 4, and the XBox had NOTHING i was looking forward to (except DOA:XV.. tecmo booth babes = :Q ). (Panzer Dragoon doesn't intrigue me) Therefore I left feeling huge console-envy, because even the GameCube had cool games coming out (Mario Party 4, Metroid, Mario Sunshine, Zelda, Resident Evil: Zero, Star Fox Adventures, etc.). I didn't see Halo 2 at E3...

I'll stick with my XBox for now, just because of Halo (yes it is that good) and DOA:XV (waiting very impatiently). Its hardware is great too, and if XBox live comes out anytime soon, I'd love Halo Live. If I had a PS2 though, it would make my TV work a lot harder though... because looking at the Xbox games out now (and xbox has been out for 1 year+) there isn't much more than DOA3, Halo, and PGR. (please don't bring up all those other games.. i.e. fusion frenzy and the like.. they're easily duplicated on other systems). If i were to get another system though, i think GameCube has the best selection.. and i'm probably saying that just cuz my roommates both have PS2's so i get to use theirs.
