XBox file transfer

I'm looking into purchasing another XBox (I'm not going to go into the reasons now), and would most likely give my current one to my brother. The problem is, I have several games saved on the HDD, and would like to migrate them to the new XBox. Using a memory module is out of the question for some of the saves, as they are much too big. Does anyone know of a way to do a file transfer via direct cable (crossover) connect, without having to do a hardware mod of each XBox? I had heard there was a software mod out there that wasn't permanent, and required no hardware modification. If this is true, does anyone have any experience with it, and does it allow for file transfer?

I've never heard of a way other then modding. Like.. I can move my save files 🙂

He is right, only way I know of is to mod both boxes & than tranfer Xbox > PC > Xbox... Good luck

just get XBFTP. It is an xbox CLIENT that you can use..

so you set up xbox #1 connected to Xbox #2 with a crossover cable (or both hooked up to a lan)

have #2 booted into evox, and then use XBFTP on #1 to connect to #2

oops.. not modded.. Nevermind.

Can't you use a memory card to shuttle the stuff back and forth? It's not very convenient but there's no modding involved.

EDIT: Never mind...

I'm very much pro-Evox, but if you use Avalaunch as an App on Evox the launch the Avalaunch dashboard, it has a built in FTP with this burst! mode that made the transfer almost 3x as fast as the one through XBFTP.

Not to mention, XBFTP requires you to configure more stuff. 🙁

Ok, I was going to bed, but I just had an idea on how to do it..

Get 007 Agent Under Fire (go to your local used game store it should be $10 or so)
Download the 007 AUF save hack that boots evox

find a friend that has a modded xbox, but the save game on your memory card. Take it home and boot 007 AUG and load the hacked game.. Now your unmodded xbox is running evox. FTP in and save your games to your pc. (Copy entire E:\)

Then on your new xbox, do the same thing, but now transfer the files over there (E:\)

*Problem = Solved.
