is it any good?

Its not really about volleyball... its more about collecting stuff and relationships type game, which happens to be very popular in Japan.

It's a good volleyball game, but like said before, is more about swimsuits, relationships between the girls (the T&A) and the casino

In order to get the 'patch' to work, you'll need a modded XBox.

xbox-saves.com has come good info on this topic.

In my humble opinion, this game is complete crap. It's apparent they spent zero time on the actual volleyball part of the game because the camera angle is so low that you have no depth perception, which makes figuring out where the bloody ball is pretty difficult.

If, on the other hand, you're only interested in fake T&A, this is your game.

I have zero problems with the camera angle. It seems odd at first, but it works great. It's a much better solution than Beach Spikers camera that flip flops all around & makes your character uncontrollable for a second or two with each volley.

The game is definitely designed for widescreen tv's though. With a 4:3 tv, your character will be offscreen quite a bit. That would drive me nuts.

the whole lack of multiplayer features (can only play head vs head, two players) is rather pathetic I think. They couldn't have included the ability to let one player just load up the game and play a game vs the computer or let 4 players play at once? What were they thinking? The game seems kinda cool with the relationships and stuff but I would buy it for the volleyball gameplay and it's lacking in that area I think.

I went with Beach Spikers for Gamecube ($9.99 at BB) instead and it's pretty fun to play with friends. Really wanted DOA though for Xbox but just too limited for me IMHO.

I have both games.

For pure V-ball, I'd choose Beach Spikers. Better control, better action.

That said, DOA Extreme Beach Boobyball is a fun game also. The V-ball action is okay, but the fun parts are seeing what kind of stuff you can buy, and trying to bribe the other girls to team up with you. I've even caught myself muttering "Bitch" when another one of the girls throws my present in the trash.

The Casino is very cool. Slots, poker, blackjack and roulette will keep you busy for a while.

The solution - if you have an Xbox and a GC, buy 'em both!
