does anyone know if there is a place that sells this adapter that lets you use your Xbox controller on the PC? (something like that adapter that lets you use your PS2 controller on your PC)

Thanks in advance.

Ravana.

Not necessarily...
Aside from the odd game that requires a joypad (x-wing alliance anyone?) A lot of people prefer joypads in things like racing games and sports games. And if you have an x-box pad it's a lot cheaper to use it with an adaptor rather than buying an equivalent PC controller.

I've never heard of an xbox -> pc adapter, but I have heard of a ps2 -> pc adapter. In fact I think it was on this forum, but it was quite a while ago. There are some pretty pc joysticks out there though. I have a Gravis Gamepad Pro USB which is basically a carbon copy of a ps2 controller. Not quite as good as one, but pretty sufficient for my needs. I think they retail for $10-20.

Even if there was one I doubt if the force feedback would work.

Even the ps2 to pc adapter they where not able to have the forcefeedback work, or has this changed?

got tired looking for one that would enable the forcefeedback and just got the wireless logitech rumble pad at the "geeks" for around $20

You only need an Xbox -> USB Adapter, because actually, it's a USB connection anyways, just with a different connection tip.

Why would you want to use an XBOX controller on your comp? Those things are horrible. I could see maybe a PS2, Gamecube, or a good gamepad made for PCs.

Perhaps he found an xbox emulator? No way... too early.

Sigh... re-read the question. He didn't ask Would you use the XBOX controller on a PC?... He asked...

Ahh, this is only YOUR opionion, so stfu. I, and I am sure many others happen to like the xbox controllers. They are not designed for little kids/nerds hands, and feel better for myself than both the gamecube or playstation controllers.

Damn straight.

/heads off to order an X-Cable for his original XBox controller, grumbling about "hippies, teeny-boppers, and their damn tiny controllers"

I found the original Xbox controller kinda clunky, the S is nice and right up there with PS2 and GC, hard to pick which I like most though.
anyways, it's usb so just need some kind of adapter.

We need an X-Box Controller M. Same layout of the S (I like the relocation of the B&W and Start/back buttons), but the smaller arms cramp my hands up after a while (with the analog buttons...jumping and target jamming... ).......

Medium arms and S layout!!! By the way....the XBox controllers have the best rumble effects EVAR!!! And the analog sticks on the GCN controllers just blow :p

I for one do NOT like the button setup of the Xbox S controller.
If I had a choice, I would have liked the original controller's front button setup with the S controller's D-pad, Analog sticks and Triggers. I like the size of both actually. Neither bothers me, but the original feels more natural now since I've used it for over a year.

That c-stick on the GCN controller is a JOKE! Total suckage. IMO...

Xbox S > Dualshock > Xbox big boy > GCN suckage.
