Hi All,

Can someone recommend a nice high-quality Xbox HDTV Component cable? I've heard the MS AV Pack isn't very good.

Looking to buy one in the next few days.

Where is this Xbox thread? I see an Xbox 360 thread, I'm not asking about the 360.

What is the problem with posting this in Off Topic, this topic is for anything, that is the point, is it not?

If I ask in Hot Deals, I get a ton of crap...

I fail to see how this doesn't belong in Off Topic. An xbox is a console. Sure it's basically a computer but it's treated as a console. The mods stickied the Xbox360 thread in Off Topic. Not Peripherals. Not General Hardware. Not Video. Not Hot Deals. If the Xbox360 thread belongs in Off Topic, why doesn't a regular Xbox1 thread?
 
I doubt you will notice anything different between the MS pack and something else you could buy without spending a small fortune. Especially with the old XBOX, it will be just fine.
 
I have the MS HD AV pack (I think the second or newer revision) and I have no complaints whatsoever. Good quality cables and connectors, and choice between RCA or optical audio.
 
Typically I wouldn't recommend Monster because it is way over priced but for the XBox cable that is the one I used.

We have many hi-tech related sections already. Thats kind of what Anandtech is all about.
Too many folks think OT is the default. Probably because they're too lazy to put stuff where it belongs.
OT is not the default section. It where you make threads that dont belong anywhere else. We already have several places this could fit.

Can I assume I'm the only one who payed attention to the FAQ and Forum rules when joining?

Where did you get it? I heard they were solid but I haven't found them at BB, CC, or ebgames.
 
With my Xbox, I used the MS HD pack and had no issues. Actually, I've never even heard that it was subpar quality. *shrugs*

I have the MS HiDef AV pack, the newer one (they revised it at some point). I've compared it with my friend's Monster cable AV pack and I would definately say the MS pack is better.

How can you tell if the MS HiDef AV pack is the original version or the revision?
 
i am using the Madcatz cables from Best Buy (they run about $14) and have connectors for PS2 and old XBOX...work just fine on my Toshiba 57"...
 
the one from MS is the best.

the ones that are cheap arent really HD cable. they are component but it wont let you enable to higher resolution from xbox.
