It's a $30 savings but they probably only give a 30 to 90 day warranty. Might as well get a new one.

If you plan on modding it I'd go with a refurb as the newer versions are a tad bit harder to modify.

New is also 90 day warranty.

i dont care about modding, only 2 games woth playing on it anyway, Halo 1 and halo 2

I don't trust refurb'ed consoles. Maybe I'm unlucky but the ones I've gotten were heavily used and broke down within a couple months.

i bought a refurb but only cause i got it modded. i didn't care if it was new cause it was being modded.

i love my modded xbox.
