Was that the same "Microsoft source" that comfirmed that Bill Gates would be returning?
 
Isn't it going to be called xbox next? MS isn't going to call it something as incredibly stupid as 720.

It's embarrassing that consoles are so outdated in terms of hardware and technology. The Xbox 360 is about as powerful as the average gaming PC in 2003.

I say bring on the new systems. 🙂

Where are you getting this 10 year life cycle? I believe Sony was the one saying 10 years (I'm also pretty sure that the 10 year life cycle stuff includes overlap with successor, much like how the PS2 is still being produced even though the PS3 has been out for 5 years already). Microsoft I don't think had any firm lifespan, just figured they'd see how things go. Also its been 6 years.

But dude in the pc version of Skyrim the texture on Wooden Bowls has 200 more pixels which totally adds to the ambiance when your face is 9 inches from the monitor.

I actually wish they would start offering lower tiers of paid services. I don't want XBOX Live Gold to play online, but I'd like it for the new cloud features. Make more tiers (Silver, Gold, Platinum) and offer logical subsets of features!
