Xbox 360 with no video no sound

last night I went to play a dvd and I powered on the 360. The ring illuminated as normal, but there was no video on screen, along with no sound from speakers. Even when selecting a controller and initializing it, the ring stayed empty (meaning no controller link).

I tried multiple times to just turn the console off and on with no resolve. Then I unplugged the power from the back of the console. Let it sit for 5 mins. When I plugged it back in, the 360 worked normally.

This is a falcon system outputting via HDMI to my 32" LG LCD. Tried to switch the hdmi cable to another input, unplug and replug in the hdmi cable. the only thing that resolved it was to unplug the power from the console.

any thoughts on this?

Probably just a cable was loose.

sounds like it didn't make a good hdcp handshake. This happens to me if my tv isn't on yet.
