Still need drivers for a HID Compliant Keyboard so no a standard USB keyboard would not work. I am sure that 360 keyboard would come with downloadable drivers or something.

Says the people who have no coordination and can't aim using joysticks. Stop blaming your inability to learn how to use it to aim. (Coming from someone who played Quake 2 hardcore for 4 years, Quake 3 for a year, and then went to console gaming - Goldeneye, Halo, now Halo 2)

It wouldn't really be fair in multiplayer situations if it were possible. :p

The keyboard is also easier on my hands as opposed to just a game pad. :/
The controls in FPS on console really piss me off sometimes as it is really hard to get that small smidge in any direction.
I'm sure pros are very used to game pads, but I don't think I can ever get used to it like a keyboard/mouse.

The mouse is much more accurate and faster then the joystick.

For some people, maybe. I've been there and done that and you know what, I'm just as good with a controller/joystick as I am a KB/M combo. I don't care what other people think or have to say about it.

lol... there is NO way on earth you can rotate as fast as an equal skill level person using a mouse/keyboard...

and NO auto/assisted aim like on consoles either...

no freakign way.. mouse/keyboard is flat out superior means of control.

You can already use a USB keyboard in FFXI on the 360, but I found it to be a pain going from keyboard to JS and back, no movement control.

You can plug in any keyboard or mouse to the xbox360 right now. Unfortunetely you can't use them with any games (that I know of) at least not yet. Developers simply haven't programed the controls for them yet, I'm assuming that this is something they can and will do for some games eventually (if they haven't already)

I can't rotate as fast as someone using a KB/M? That's as simple as jacking up the sensitivity rating on the X/Y axis. The trick is (which most people lack) being able to get your aim down with a high sensitivity, which is why by default it's usually set at 3 for most games, and therefore you don't have the high sensitivity/ability to lock down on your target like you do a KB/M.
