Xbox 360 Wireless network adapter

I want to hook my new 360 up to xbox live but i dont have an ethernet connection in the living room where it is. i do have a wireless network in my house though so it seems like the easyest way to go about it would be to get a wireless network adaper. but the one microsoft maked specificlly for the 360 is around $100, which seems absurd to me. So i was wondering if there are any non-official wireless network adapters that work just as well/better for cheaper.
Thanks

There should be a sticky on using a generic wireless router for game systems. Better radios/antenna, more features. Many routers have built in workgroup bridge functionality.
