Xbox 360 wireless headset

I seem to be playing on xbox live a lot ever since I got Call of Duty 4 for the 360. I have a wired headset that causes other people to get echoes. I am not sure if this has anything to do with me running a wireless network to connect to the internet. I believe the wiring on the headset is bad. I was wondering if the voice quality is much better with the wireless headset that Microsoft sells. If anyone purchased this headset I would appreciate it if they can tell me if it works much better or not. Can I also use a normal bluetooth headset to connect to Xbox live?
 
I use the wireless headset, but i really don't hear much of a difference. Afte a while though, my ear gets tired from the wireless one.
