PayPal already sent the money for mine on the 19th. I might ring them by the weekend and see if I can get some free overnight shipping out of them or at least a small price reduction. This is ridicules, I know it was a hot deal, but waiting almost 30 days to get it.
 
I just got a shipped email from Dell and I and should have the controller (via UPS) tomorrow 2-27.

Hopefully the rest of you will also see an earlier ship time than the first Dell email indicated....

Aww some of you got a shipping conf? They sent me an e-mail saying I had to contact them and give permission to keep my order open (backordered) or they'd cancel it. The deadline was 9pm CST I didn't even see the e-mail until about 8:45. Hope I made it in time.
 
I received mine yesterday - and ----- ta-daaaa.... the wireless adapter was d.o.a....

No lights and Windows Vista didn't detect it when I plugged it in. I did some some searching and found this page:

I opened it, and found that the problem was the F1 Fuse that is cutting the current. You have to open it and bypass (soldering) the two legs of the F1 Fuse.

Using these instructions I opened the wireless controller like the picture shows and then I soldered the legs of the F1 Fuse together and now Vista detects it and the 360 controller...

What a pain in the ass, but it's better then to having to bother with returning it....

 
Screw that. If the darn thing does not work, then I am sending it back, and asking for a coupon for waiting so long for a broken product to arrive. Thanks for the instructions, incase I ever have to do that, but with this order, I have waited long enough, I will ask for replacement if it ever comes.

I don't disagree at all - and if I didn't have the tools to fix this on hand I'd be bitching them out as well.
 
Sorry to hear about your troubles, OP.

I got mine today, and it's working fine as far as I can tell. I'm kind of amazed I didn't break anything, lacerate myself, or accidentally cut the cord on the receiver while I was trying to pry the goodies out of the plastic clamshell prison though :|.

haha.... tell me about it. As I was attempting to open the clamshell all I could hear was the theme from Mission Impossible.... 🙂
 
My order is pushed back to 3/20. It would be very disappointing if it were canceled.

Has anyone else had their controller order pushed back? Or have you all had yours shipped or received them?

I received an email on the 24th stating a push back until 3/19. I'm not in the need for it necessarily, but I didn't expect to wait this long.
 
Honestly I hope that it gets canceled and dell offers some type of compensation 😀 I'm in the market for a new monitor...
 
I went from delayed to March 17 to shipped out yesterday, it should be here Friday from the UPS tracking number. Glad Dell actually came though, as I believe they continously postponed or cancelled deals like this in the past. At first I didn't really care if I got it or not, but having the keys mapped in GFW and have the on-screen cues is soooo much nicer.

For example, in Prince of Persia, instead of seeing a Red A button, you'll see "Logitech Wireless Rumblepad 2 Button 1" on your screen. Other games do just show the 360 controller but thats just another hardware abstract layer you have to get through slowing down gameplay. 🙁
 
I just canceled mine. I found a deal for a PS3 80gb for 319 with free shipping from dell, so I picked that up. Hopefully it wont get delayed.
 
Mine arrived today, installed and working without any problems. Very pleased with the upgrade from a Logitech Cordless Rumblepad 2. Again, all keys mapped and flagged in GFW games and the rumble is back in many of them too. 🙂 It was disabled on the Logitech for most games.

Prince of Persia is much more fun now that the on-screen cues are only 1 color button and a short abbreviation. Plan on going back and trying some other games that I played through with either KB+mouse or the Logitech, like Assassin's Creed, GTA4, maybe even Gears of War! 🙂 Thanks again OP, I would've never justified spending $50 on this with a perfectly functional Logitech, but at $25 shipped I'm extremely pleased.
 
I got a notification email this morning that my order shipped! I was really starting to lose hope. Everybody else still waiting, hang in there! 🙂
 
same here. i ordered on the 19th, it got pushed back till the 18th. got an email this morning saying it had shipped.

supposed to take till the 18th to get here though...kinda lame if it ends up taking that long. like my amazon order i just placed. it left KY yesterday and said it will take until the 18th. i live in TN...it's like 5 hours away.
 
Interesting. I get home from work and notice a package waiting for me. It's from Dell! My controller arrived today after just being notified of shipping this morning. I'm delighted and confused all at once! Haha 😕 😀
