XBox 360 Wired Headset Problem

Low tone beeps come through my headset and then there is a click like the headset is reconnecting itself or something happens a bunch. I've had no trouble with this until today (well last night) and it doesn't seem to matter which controller I'm using or if the controller is plugged in with play and charge. Basically it cuts out, beeps, cuts back in...ad nauseam.

Any ideas? Busted headset after a few weeks of use?

It stopped doing it for now, but this is the second time it's happened in as many days 🙁

Does the headset's clicking coincide with microwave or wireless telephone useage?
