I pre-ordered one at Gamestop in middle of July. They told me it was for first shipment, but turns out that it actually was for the second shipment after a friend who works at gamestop saw my SKU and told mem it was for the second shipment. bastards!

anyways, I won a free one from pepsi and mountain dew, so I no longer need this reservation anyways. and I get it 3 days early on the 19th, and I get a free game with it, so its not all that bad 😀. now I have more $$$ to spend on games.

No, they haven't even decided yet which Xbox 1 games they're going to port to the emulation library.

yes, because we are all buying a 360 so that we can play xbox 1 games ...

heh the xbox360 should be good, but the nintendo revolution does sound awesome now that they've shown the controller..
www.xbox360galaxy.com has a pretty good article on it, and they got one of the bigger xbox 360 forums on the web (all of them are small cause it isnt released yet)

Not going to preorder, going to try and snag one from one of the 3 24 hour wal-marts within driving distance.

I'm waiting for the Revolution. I like how social the gaming experience on that seems... Think about it, make some drinks, invite some girls over and play super smash brothers!

I would be buying one to play both.

I only have so much room in my AV rack (and living room) and don't have an Xbox 1 now, so the list list of xbox 1 games that will work matters to me. Right now MS is only promising to port "top sellers" (platinum hits) so most niche titles could be excluded.

Since it's software emulation of the x86 and mapping from ATI to nvidia I'm also waiting to see if it actually works well or if it's uneven.

If you have an xbox 1 now and plan to keep it, then it shouldn't matter to you except that when your xbox 1 dies, a bunch of your games may become unplayable.

I believe they are planning to do as many of the "Top Sellers" as they can at release and they'll be releasing patches to update the emulation profiles so more games can be played.

What's it like to go around saying random things that aren't even true all the time?

Well, at the least, they haven't *announced* which ones 🙂 Personally, I could care less. backward compatibility is a nonsense ruse that Sony's put into people's heads as if it were actually *important*, which it isn't.

Xbox 1 will play 100% of Xbox 1 games. That's all I need.

So what? By the time your XBox 1 dies you'll probably be able to snag them for $20 on eBay 🙂
