how is the noise issue now?
originally, i wanted an xbox but chose the ps3 instead because i wanted something quiet. for this price... i might be interested in getting the xbox again

In my experience it's hit or miss, they use a couple different fan/DVD drive manufacturers and some are more quiet than others.
