Makes me look even more foolish than before for taking the $140 one. Although it's running great and clearly has a new heat sync in it so hopefully no RROD for me...

Doesn't the Arcade have HDMI too? Yeah, you would still need a hard drive, but it has a much better warranty. With the way these things get the RROD, getting this deal is risky.

If you're concerned about that, TD does offer a 1 year replacement plan for $29.98 (beyond the 4 months parts/service you get standard) which still puts you well below the cost of an arcade + HD. I didn't bother with that though... worst case is it RRODs after 4 months but I'm only out $189. I'll just get another one the next time a good deal pops up 🙂
 
Great media extender for the price - if only the darn thing had built in wireless, I'd buy another right now!
